The council has a long-standing policy
of supporting its business community,
recognising its valuable role in generating
wealth, creating local employment and
creating Wandsworth’s sense of place
– reflected especially in its town centres.
The Economic Development Office (EDO)
leads the council’s objective of building a
prosperous, vibrant and cohesive business
community; as well as helping Wandsworth
be a good place to do business and
ensuring residents have access to skills
and employment.
The EDO works in partnership with
a range of businesses and business
support organisations, such as the
Town Centre Partnerships, Wandsworth
Chamber and the Nine Elms Vauxhall
Partnership to maintain a healthy and
vibrant local enterprise.
Some of our recent initiatives include:
Work Match – an employment brokerage
which matches quality candidates to
local jobs, apprenticeships and training
opportunities.
